PHOGRAIN releases 400Gbps back-illuminated PIN PD chip enabling 1.6T/3.2T optical transceiver iteration
At the 27th CIOE, PHOGRAIN (芯思杰) introduced a 400Gbps back-illuminated PIN photodetector chip aimed at 1.6T and 3.2T optical transceiver modules. The company says the chip uses charge compensation and an integrated back-lens design, with core specifications it places in the global first tier. It is described as one of the industry's first same-rate products to reach production, supporting AI compute-driven transceiver upgrades; PHOGRAIN frames the launch as evidence of its IDM full-chain capability.
