openJiuwen Community open-sources ScienceDiscovery, an AI research workbench enabling tree-search-driven RSI for automatic scientific product iteration

ScienceDiscovery, an AI research workbench from the openJiuwen community, is now open source. It uses tree search to iterate on research code and artifacts; the model is not trained or tuned, and each round's rewrite is chosen only by the search policy.

Reported cases include a general oscillatory integral solver produced in 236 versions over two hours, a 2.279x average speedup on AlgoTune code, and correct equations for 41.4% of LLM-SRBench symbolic regression problems. The platform provides sandboxing, concurrent scaling, and pluggable search algorithms. License terms were not specified.
