Han Hu, former head of Tencent Hunyuan's vision model algorithm center, is raising tens of millions of dollars for a startup focused on multimodal large models, with a target valuation in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Yuanshi Capital is acting as financial adviser. Several investment institutions have approached the project in the past month, though no lead investor was named. Han has suggested the model could eventually be sold to large tech companies such as DeepSeek.
