Computer Vision
China's computer vision sector, and every entry we have filed under it.
Computer vision was the first Chinese AI sector to reach global scale. SenseTime, Megvii, CloudWalk and Yitu, the so-called four dragons, built their businesses on face recognition and city surveillance, while Hikvision and Dahua dominate cameras. That market has matured and consolidated, and the growth has moved elsewhere: 3D reconstruction and scanning, spatial intelligence for robots, egocentric training data, medical imaging and remote sensing. Today most of the interesting Chinese computer vision work shows up inside embodied-AI, healthcare and world-model companies rather than in standalone vision vendors.
This page gathers our entries on that newer market: 3D scanning startups closing Series A rounds, human-scene interaction reconstruction frameworks released as open source by Shanghai AI Laboratory and its partners, a data company supplying millions of hours of first-person video to Western robotics labs, imaging models used before cancer surgery, and remote-sensing breakthroughs from Chinese universities. Amounts are converted to dollars and every entry cites its Chinese sources.
