Whale Entertainment launches AI talent program and Jingrui AI Creation Contest with RMB 10M prize pool

On September 17, 2026, Whale Entertainment Group launched the Whale AI Talent Plan and Jingrui AI Creation Contest with a total prize pool of ~$1.4M (RMB 10M) and a top award of ~$286K (RMB 2M). The company calls it the first 10-million-yuan AI video creation contest in China.

The contest offers 265 winner slots, including the ~$286K (RMB 2M) Jingrui talent award and four original IP awards of ~$71K (RMB 500K) each. Entries must be original story videos of at least 10 minutes plus a 1,000-character story description. Those passing initial screening join the talent plan for master classes, industry salons and screening resources; applications close November 22.
