Apache Casbin Community

Under the Apache 2.0 license, the Apache Casbin Community has released Casbin Gateway, a local gateway for managing AI coding agents. Written in Go and React, it is distributed as a single binary for Windows, macOS and Linux. It consolidates configuration, usage and permission settings for 29 agents on one development machine, replacing the scattered per-agent setup that results from installing multiple coding agents locally.

Casdoor v4.0 was released on September 1, 2026, and by September 9 the open-source identity and access management platform had already iterated to v4.3. The console has been fully rewritten, and the update adds a built-in MCP server plus authentication for AI agents, aimed at identity and access management for agent scenarios.

The project is developed by the Apache Casbin Community in Go and React under Apache 2.0. Casdoor was added to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Cloud Native Landscape in the Provisioning section's Security & Compliance category on February 22, 2026.
