World Models
China's world models sector, and every entry we have filed under it.
World models, systems that predict how a scene will evolve and let an agent act inside it, have become the most fashionable research direction in Chinese AI. They sit at the junction of video generation, 3D reconstruction and robotics, and Chinese teams are shipping them fast: interactive world models from HiDream and Alaya Lab, physics-native models from Guangxiang and Tsinghua, code-driven world models from Westlake University, and lightweight open-source releases from Ant Lingbo that run in real time on one GPU. Investors treat 'world model' as the next robot brain and are funding accordingly.
Entries here include model releases with links to weights and papers where they exist, benchmark results such as WorldArena, funding rounds for world-model robotics startups, and the spatial-intelligence data initiatives that feed them. We record what each model claims to do and what has actually been released.
